Homeland Security

Georgia's congressional delegation broke along party lines in a vote to fund the Department of Homeland Security. The agency was set to run out of funding on Friday.

The bill passed the House yesterday on a vote of 257 to 167. Georgia's four Democratic congressmen voted in favor while all 10 Republicans voted against it.

Conservatives wanted to tie Homeland Security funding to overturning President Obama's executive orders on immigration. But those efforts were blocked by Senate Democrats.

President Obama says he plans to sign the measure.

Here is a summary of the vote.
