Primary Content
A University of Georgia climate expert says last month turned out to be one of the five coldest Novembers on record for much of the state.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports average temperatures for many Georgia cities last month were 5 to 6.7 degrees colder than normal. The National Weather Service reports Atlanta, Augusta and Macon all had average temperatures hovering around a chilly 49 degrees.
Pam Knox, UGA's agricultural climatologist, says November also had some strangely warm temperatures too, including in Savannah.
