As the nation remembers the September 11th terrorist attacks, many students were learning about the attacks Thursday during class.

But what if your class is too young to remember the day of the attacks?

Chris Cato is a teacher at Grovetown High School in Columbia County, and he talked to his students about the events leading up to 9/11. On that day, 13 years ago, Cato was working as a customer service representative for Delta Airlines.

Hey says most of the students in his class weren't alive during 9-11. And if they were alive, they were very young.

" I think most of our freshman were around one or two. But many of them have never actually seen the event. And that was kind of surprising to me," said Cato. "So generally, what I do is I start by talking about the event. Then I go back through the history, starting with the original bombing of the World Trade Center under Bill Clinton’s administration, and then I talk about the USS Cole, then we move on to 9/11."
