Jim Reed of the Pyschotronic Film Society and Do Savannah and Jessica Leigh Lebos of Connect Savannah offer up the best of the weekend’s events.

Jessica’s picks:

-Savannah fashionistas will take to Broughton Street Thursday night for Fashion Night, featuring live music, interactive art, sales at local retailers and runway shows. The street will be closed off between Montgomery and Drayton to make it extra pedestrian-friendly. Thursday, 6:30-11 p.m.; free, with VIP passes for anyone spending $75 at a participating retailer

-ArtRise Savannah’s monthly First Friday ArtMarch brings together local artists and vendors all around town, with a free trolley to take art lovers between venues. Friday, 6-9 p.m.; free

-Explore the art of river life with Whitfield Lovell: Deep River at the Jepson Center. It’s a multimedia exhibition including the sights and sounds of a river, as well as original artist’s tableaux. Through Feb. 1; $12 adult, $5 student

Jim’s picks:

-The Lucas Theatre has an event you can’t refuse: the classic mobster epic The Godfather on the big screen at the Lucas Theatre. The first installment runs Friday, followed by The Godfather Part Two on Saturday. Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.; $8 general, $5 student/senior/military

-On the other end of the film spectrum, for fans of the delightfully bad in film, the Psychotronic Film Society is presenting the little-known Scorpion Thunderbolt next Wednesday at the Sentient Bean. Wednesday, 8 p.m.; $6
