Georgia State University is set to break ground September 12 on its new law school building.

Steven Kaminshine, dean of GSU's College of Law, said this week the design will promote a collaborative learning environment.

Faculty offices will be on the same floor as classrooms and there will be a library on the top two floors of the seven-story building located in downtown Atlanta.

Georgia State University officials also announced this week the school will begin offering a law and master of public health dual degree program this fall. The program will allow students to count courses from each program toward juris doctor and master of public health degrees.
