Georgia State University officials say the school will begin offering a law and master of public health dual degree program this fall.

School officials announced this week that the program will allow students to count courses from each program toward juris doctor and master of public health degrees.

Dean of the GSU College of Law Steven Kaminshine says areas of law and public health are rapidly expanding on the national, state and local levels. He says leadership positions in either field require multi-disciplinary experience.

Officials say Georgia State University will hold events to introduce the program to the public beginning in mid-September.
