Georgia's seaport in coastal Brunswick has moved its first shipment of American-made Toyota vehicles being exported overseas.

The Georgia Ports Authority says a cargo ship loaded with Toyota Venzas set sail Thursday from Brunswick for markets in Russia and the Ukraine. That adds Toyota to 20 other automakers using the Port of Brunswick to import and export cars. Toyota manufactures the Venza, a midsize crossover SUV, at its plant in Georgetown, Ky.

Brunswick handled more than 612,000 automobile and machinery units last year, making it the third busiest U.S. port for auto shipping.

Port officials say Brunswick moved more than 458,000 imports and exports of autos and machinery in the first three months of 2013, in an increase of 18 percent over the same period last year.
