Savannah Music Festival Says The Doctor Is In

SAVANNAH, Ga.  —

Dr. John is bringing his Creole roots, R&B and voodoo-rock to next month’s Savannah Music Festival. The Grammy award-winner joined the festival line-up along with The Wailers, Bob Marley’s former backup band.

Other late addition shows on the festival’s roster include the folk-rock group Old Crow Medicine Show, Los Angeles-based pop-rock band Sea Wolf and the bluesy Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The 2013 festival features more than 80 concerts ranging from classical and jazz to rock and bluegrass at venues around Savannah's downtown historic district.

The Savannah Music Festival opens March 20 and runs through April 6.
