Two Georgia death row inmates have been scheduled for execution in February after the state Supreme Court upheld the state's new protocol for delivering lethal injections.

The Georgia Department of Corrections said Tuesday that Warren Lee Hill, sentenced to death in Lee County for killing a fellow prison inmate in 1990, is scheduled to be put to death Feb. 19.

Another execution date has been set two days later on Feb. 21 for Andrew Allen Cook, who convicted in Monroe County of shooting two Mercer University students in 1995.

Both executions were ordered the day after the Supreme Court unanimously rejected a challenge by Hill to Georgia's move from a three-drug mixture used in executions to a single drug. Executions have been on hold in Georgia since last summer.
