With just months left until the men's NCAA Final Four begins in Atlanta, local organizers are looking for about 1,000 people to fill volunteer positions. Local organizing committee Director Sharon Goldmacher said Thursday that volunteers are needed all over Atlanta to serve as ambassadors at the airport, in downtown hotels, near the Georgia Dome and in the downtown area.

Officials say about 100,000 college basketball fans are expected to swarm the city for two semifinal games April 6 and the national championship game on April 8.

Volunteers must be 18 or older and willing to work a minimum of three shifts. The organizing committee is looking to fill positions through the end of February.
