Sites around Georgia will be featured in celebrity chef Paula Deen's appearance on the NBC series "Who Do You Think You Are?"

The Savannah-based chef will appear on the episode that airs Friday. Researchers on the show help celebrities trace their ancestors.

Deen's episode includes scenes shot at the University of Georgia's special collections library and in Savannah, as well as other sites throughout the state. Documents at the UGA Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library were used in tracing Deen's heritage.
