Georgia wildlife officials have opened a new outdoor shotgun range for sporting enthusiasts.

The recently opened range at the Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center in Mansfield allows people to shoot skeet, trap and five-stand. It's one of 18 shooting ranges run on public land in Georgia.

The Department of Natural Resources said funding for the facility came from the federal Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program, the National Rifle Association, Breedlove Land Planning Inc. and Gay Construction Co.
