Georgia strawberry growers say the warm winter and hot spring has caused fields across the state to be in full bloom.

Cottle Strawberry Farms in Stockbridge has six acres of strawberry fields that desperately need to be picked.

Sandy Roberts, the farm manager, said this is the earliest they've been open in 28 years.

Roberts said 2012 is probably going to be a shorter season, so people should make plans to get their strawberries sooner rather than later.
