Marietta has now won four straight games after starting the year 0-4 after Blue Devils quarterback Anthony Jennings scored on a late 4-yard run to edge Lassiter 35-28. Eddie Printz threw four touchdowns in the loss. ... Pope stunned East Paulding in the Boneyard, handing the Raiders their first loss of the season as Holland Frost threw for two scores and ran for another in the 29-23 victory. The Raiders had given up just 29 points all season before Pope matched that in its victory. ... Buford faced its toughest test of the season, welcoming in No. 3 GAC but Andre Johnson ran for two scores to help the No. 1 Wolves win 28-0. Buford’s defense has posted five shutouts this year. ... Brookwood and Parkview scored 26 points in the game’s final three minutes for a stunning 23-19 Broncos victory. Nick Tompkins scored on a 75-yard kick return with 15 seconds left to steal a Brookwood victory. Jack Esmonde and Jordan Reid hooked up for a pair of late Parkview scores, but it was not enough. ... St. Pius X ran for 387 yards to defeat Grady 49-16 on the road. The Golden Lions got four touchdowns from TJ Holloman in the win while Geno Smith scored once from four yards out. ... The Grayson Rams whitewashed South Gwinnett 40-0 to set up its home showdown next week against Brookwood. ... Hillgrove again flexed its muscles in a 41-25 victory over Pebblebrook. ... Stephenson trailed early on to East Coweta, but rallied to escape Hallford Stadium with a 24-17 victory in GPB TV’s game of the week. ... ML King kept pace with Stephenson with a 41-17 win over Newnan. ... Finally, Walton got a huge effort from all three phases to defeat Wheeler 45-7 in what used to be a major East Cobb rivalry. The Raiders have now won 13 of 14 in the series.
