Vision planned to fly between Macon and Destin, Florida. The company chose the route because of the number of people from Middle Georgia who vacation in Destin.
But the research did not match reality, says Macon Regional Airport manager Scott Coffman:
“They started selling, you know putting their tickets out for sale. They reported to us that their ticket sales weren’t what they wanted and that they weren’t going to get started up.”
Vision’s departure leaves the airport with only one carrier. Georgia Skies will continue to fly four flights a day between Macon and Atlanta.
