The Douglas County Lady Tigers were on a roll coming into the Class AAAA semifinals, winning 30 consecutive games including a big win against Miller Grove in the semifinals. However, Forest Park had too much experience and came away with a 56-47 victory. Forest Park will look to win their first title since 1970.

Boys

Miller Grove has been one of the best teams over the last two years, but they knew they were facing a tough Jonesboro team that would give Miller Grove everything they had. But under the leadership of Tony Parker who scored 19 points, Miller Grove came away with a 65-52 win at Gwinnett Arena.

CLASS A

Girls

The Wesleyan girls started fast against Calvary Day which led to a 70-33 win. The Lady Wolves forced 28 turnovers including 10 steals by Jordan Frazier. The Lady Wolves will go for their fourth consecutive title on Saturday, and eighth in the last 10 years.

Boys

Wilkinson County came into the semifinals with an undefeated record and looked to reach the finals for the first time since 2007. With the help of Ramahd Thomas who scored 16 points, Wilkinson County defeated Greenville 66-49. Greenville’s Kentavious Caldwell-Pope only had four points at halftime and fouled out with two minutes left to play.
