Robins Air Force Base officials say they hope parking congestion on base will ease with the addition of a high occupancy vehicle gate and a new shuttle service. Robins officials says the shuttle service, called Round Robins Express, will operate on weekdays.

A new gate has been built for carpools, vans and bus traffic coming from Macon Transit Authoritys bus program. The base shuttle will have four buses and two routes, except on holidays. Officials say says there will be no fee for riding the shuttle on base.
