Apparel Maker Expands To Henry County

A major apparel company is set to bring more jobs to Georgia.

Phillips-Van Heusen makes clothes for major brands like Izod and Calvin Klein.

LaRhonda Jackson with the Georgia Department of Economic Development says the company’s Georgia distribution center will move to Henry County, an hour north of Macon.

“They actually have a facility that they’re phasing-out in Austell that they’re moving to McDonough to allow for the expansion. They were looking for additional room to take-on more distribution lines.”

Roughly 150 jobs will move from Austell to McDonough, with the company adding another 150 over the next three years.
