Soldier Killed In Weapons Mishap

A metro Atlanta soldier has died after an accident on U.S. base in Afghanistan.

22-year-old Private First Class Jacob A. Dennis died July 3rd at a military hospital in Germany.

The Powder Springs native had been mortally wounded in a weapons mishap at Forward Operating Base Lane in Afghanistan.

Dennis was a member of the 5th Stryker brigade.

Another soldier was killed in the same accident.
