ATLANTA  —

Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson might be vulnerable to a challenge, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

Incumbent Republican Senator Johnny Isakson does not clear the fifty percent mark against a generic Democrat in the telephone poll. The poll analysis states his 49% showing indicates Isakson could be vulnerable to a challenge. Yet, Democrats have not fielded a viable candidate in the U.S. senate race.

That means Isakson will most likely have more money and better name recognition heading into the general election. According to campaign finance reports, Isakson has about four million dollars cash on hand.

In another state wide race, Democrats also have not been able to field a candidate in the Lt. Governor’s race.
