Today's kids don't play outside nearly as much as their parents did. Scientists are beginning to uncover what that means for this generation's well being. Author Richard Louv has written a book about it, Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature Deficit Disorder. He joins GPB's Weekend Edition host Melissa Stiers.
