SCLC members challenge recent deseatings in court.
Members of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference are fighting the unseating of the group’s chairman and treasurer.

They filed an injunction Monday at a superior court in Atlanta. Legal documents say the removals violate the group’s constitution.

Chairman Reverend Raleigh Trammel and Treasurer Reverend Spiver Gordan were recently dethroned pending an internal investigation into alleged mismanagement.

The request for injunction asks the court to void recent decisions until the group’s board of directors can meet.

It also wants a gag order on SCLC leaders.
