Job Fairs Target Veterans As Economy Slowly Rebounds

ATLANTA — Georgia has historic unemployment, but there are still job fairs.

Veterans and other job-seekers can connect with more than 90 employers at events this month.

The Georgia Department of Labor is hosting the fairs.

First up … one at the VFW Post in Conyers November 10th.

Another Nov. 10 fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 201, in Alpharetta.

A fair is also planned Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 251, in Duluth.

The department's Cordele center and the Dooly County Chamber of Commerce also will co-sponsor a career fair on Nov. 19, from 8:30

a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Southwest Georgia Business Development Center, in Vienna.
