Wilmot Greene tells the Athens-Banner Herald the Georgia Theatre will look much the same when rebuilt. But he does plan to add some new flourishes—such as a museum, art gallery, and rooftop barbecue restaurant.
Money is still needed for the rebuild: the Theatre website is taking donations, as is the Georgia Trust.
Greene tells the Athens-paper he’s in the process of getting the necessary city permits, and hopes to reopen the venue next year.
