In 2007 the boys little league baseball team, from this city of 60-thousand, won the world championship title. This year they could do it again. The boys are set to begin competition this week in the little league baseball world series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Baseball and softball are good for the Warner Robins economy as well. Little League international's new southeast regional headquarters and stadium are currently under construction in Warner Robins. Recently they decided to move to Georgia from Florida.
Governor Sonny Perdue, who’s from Warner Robins won his wager against former President George W. Bush, who’s from Crawford.
Both will donate $500 each to the two teams, who will split the money 60-40.
The teams will also auction off softballs signed by Perdue and Bush.
