ATLANTA — It's looking like Georgia Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond will keep working in Georgia.
He was offered a federal post in the U.S. Department of Labor last month. He hasn't officially declined, but this is what he told GPB today.
"I'm focused on Georgia. You can read into that. I'm focused on Georgia. I'm honored to be, you know, they offered me the opportunity. Right now my attention, my focus, my energy is all about Georgia."
Thurmond has ten days to officially make his decision.
