Primary Content
Georgia's tax collections dropped again in July, falling $117 million short of where the state's bank account stood this time last year.
Gov. Sonny Perdue announced Tuesday that the state took in 9.6% less money last month compared to July 2008.
The total collections were $1.09 billion.
Last year, the state took in $1.2 billion in July.
Revenues fell last month by $250 million, leading Perdue to dip even deeper into the state's dwindling reserve funds.
