Federal Grant Money Goes to Fire, EMS Departments

Emergency first responders around the state are benefiting from federal grant money.

Fire and EMS departments in Lumpkin, Sandy Springs, Cartersville and Jekyll Island will receive a total of 170 thousand dollars.

The program supports projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards.

Projects include media campaigns and arson awareness programs.
