ATLANTA —
The University of Georgia is not going to use the same contractor that built an Atlanta parking deck that partially collapsed last month.
University officials decided to change contractors to expand its football facilities days after the collapse.
They say they hadn’t signed a contract with Hardin Construction Co. but they’d sent the company a letter of intent just before the collapse and pre-construction work began June 29, the day of the Atlanta collapse.
