Governor Sonny Perdue
Following the inagural Southeastern United States-Canadian Provinces Alliance conference in Savannah last year, this second meeting is being held in St John's, Newfoundland.
A press release from the Governor's office says 200 delegates from southeast states and Canada are on-hand. The aim is for continuing to bolster business and trade connections between Georgia, the southern U.S., and Canada. Perdue says the conference is "critically important" because Canada is the state's top trading partner. The conference runs through Tuesday.
