A Georgia county could cut 11,000 school bus stops to save money.
But the plan by the Cobb County school district got plenty of push-back in the district's board meeting last night. Parents packed the meeting with many speaking out against the proposed move. Some told board members they would choose to drive their children to school if some bus stops are cut. That could create traffic jams around some schools in high-volume areas.
The school system currently has about 50,000 bus stops.
