Sixty-four percent of eligible Georgian voters participated in last November’s election.

New U.S. Census Bureau numbers rank Georgia 30th nationwide for voter participation. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports Minnesota came in first with 75 percent participation. Hawaii had the least with 52 percent.

About 131 million people voted overall. That’s 5 million more than the previous presidential election of 2004.
