Meet the Hosts
Sarah Zaslaw - Host, Midday Music
Sarah Zaslaw grew up in the waterfall-studded town of Ithaca, New York. She started violin lessons at age four. Sarah holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard and a master of arts from the University of Michigan, both in European history. She got her first radio experience during college, at WHRB in Cambridge, Mass., and only returned to radio in 1998, when she joined the staff of Georgia Public Broadcasting. (In the intervening years, she had edited books, learned languages and played in orchestras.)
In 2000 her weekly thematic show A Musical Offering won the Georgia Association of Broadcasters' Gabby Award for best locally produced radio program. Since 2000 she has programmed and hosted GPB's midday classical program, Midday Music (formerly Soundscapes). She lives with her family in Atlanta.
