Midday Music Playlist for 04/16/2013

Because of the Boston Marathon bombings yesterday, the Boston Symphony had to cancel last night's concert. It was to be an all-Beethoven concert, featuring the Fifth Symphony and the "Emperor" Piano Concerto with Gabriela Montero. In today's first hour, we hear Montero perform, and then listen to a recording of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, a journey from darkness to light.
