Midday Music

Midday Music Playlist for 08/30/2012

You might think that stringing together six movements all based on Dumky, a Slavic folk form where slower laments alternate with livelier fast sections, might lead to motion sickness. But Antonin Dvorak knew how to brake and accelerate judiciously. Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and Young-Uck Kim play Dvorak's "Dumky" Trio this morning on GPB. No Dramamine required.
