We hear pieces to appear on weekend concerts by the Rome Symphony Orchestra, with members of the Vega String Quartet; Symphony Orchestra Augusta, featuring a husband-and-wife composer-and-pianist pair; the LaGrange Symphony, including the local premiere of Lee Johnson's "Dead Symphony," after the Grateful Dead; the Macon Symphony Orchestra, both with and without violinist Robert McDuffie, the Atlanta Opera's production of Puccini's La Boheme; and Atlanta Symphony concerts in both Atlanta and Athens with pianist Emanuel Ax.
