Legislative Day 14 - February 3, 2012


This is the 14th legislative day of the 2012 session.

On tonight’s program, the House approved $300 million to build HOT lanes on I-75 as it passes the FY 2012 Amended Budget.

There was controversy over a new redistricting bill; these changes won’t go into effect until 2014.Georgia’s district maps were redrawn over the summer in a special session.

We continue our leadership interview series tonight with House Majority Leader Larry O’Neal. He says not to expect a big fight over the FY 2013 Budget.

It’s the end of the legislative week and the General Assembly was in all five days. We welcome Buddy Darden and Bill Crane, two legislative experts, to help put everything into perspective.
