Legislative Day 39 - 2011

On tonight’s program, FY 2012 18 billion dollar budget achieves final passage as the House and the Senate approve the conference committee report. The Senate votes to allow Georgians to by health insurance across state lines.

We continue our leadership interview with Senate Natural Resources Chairman, Ross Tolleson, about Georgia’s water supply.

Although the Tax Overhaul bill appears to be dead for the session, House Speaker David Ralston says work will continue, and perhaps the matter will be considered in a special session.

We’ll be talking taxes in studio tonight wit Sarah Beth Gehl of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, and Kelly McCutchen of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.

You can watch Prime Time Lawmakers every night the Georgia General Assembly is in session at 7 pm, and at 5:30 am the following morning.
