After interruptions from angry students in the gallery and hours of impassioned debate, Governor Nathan Deal's HOPE bill passes the Senate.

Changes will likely send the measure to a conference committee.

Also, a controversial bill allowing billboard companies to clear-cut trees along state right–of–way passed the Senate.

And, we continue our leadership interview series with House Majority Caucus Vice Chairman Matt Ramsey who talks about judicial reform legislation.

We also go in-depth on the impact of the budget cuts to human services with Alan Essig, Executive Director of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute.

You can watch Prime Time Lawmakers every night the Georgia General Assembly is in session on Georgia Public Broadcasting at 7pm. The program re-airs the following morning at 5:30 am.
