Legislative Day 25 - 2011

Final passage of the $18 billion 2011 Supplemental Budget cleared the House today. The budget gets the state through the remaining fiscal year.

Also, Governor Deal announced a new proposal to give pre-kindergarten students a full day rather then the shorten day he originally put before the legislature. This new pre-k program will see slight increases in student-to-teacher ratios and cuts teacher pay by 10%.

We also continue our leadership interview series with House Majority Whip, Rep. Edward Lindsey.

We also have a panel of early education enthusiast. We will be joined in-studio by Representative Judy Manning and Representative Stephanie Stuckey Benfield.

You can watch Prime Time Lawmakers every night the Georgia General Assembly is in session at 7pm. on Georgia Public Broadcasting. The program re-airs the next morning at 5:30 am.
