The House voted 166-0 to send a resolution to the U.S. Congress, urging national lawmakers to reauthorize funds for Georgia's Peachcare children's health insurance program.

Senator Seth Harp announced plans to present a bill which would allow Georgia's local governments to oversee Sunday alcohol sales.

Senate Minority Leader Tommie Williams made a plea to all Georgia voters to visit the GeorgiaSpeaks.com website. The website is a tool for voters to voice their concerns to state lawmakers.
