Public Radio Player™ — iPhone™ App

Listen to Georgia Public Broadcasting on your iPhone and iPod Touch™ with the Public Radio Player iPhone application. GPB and many other public radio stations are all available to stream on your iPhone or iPod Touch when you install the free Public Radio Player application from the iTunes® App Store.

Where it works:

The Public Radio Player application works on all iPhones and iPod Touch devices. However, some station streams with a high bitrate (128k or higher) will perform best when using a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. Streams that are 64k or lower will play with a Wi-Fi, 3G or EDGE network connection.

How to get it:

From your iPhone or iPod Touch:

  1. Click this link from your device. It will take you directly to the Public Radio Player on the iTunes App Store.
  2. Click the "Free" button. It will change to an "Install" button.
  3. Click the "Install" button.
  4. Wait for the Public Radio Player application to be installed.
  5. Click the Public Radio Player icon from the iPhone or iPod Touch home screen and listen!

From the iTunes Store on your PC or Mac:

  1. Click this link to go directly to the Public Radio Player application on the iTunes Store.
  2. Click the "Get App" button.
  3. After the application is finished downloading to your computer, sync your iPhone or iPod touch with your iTunes account to add the Public Radio Player application to your device.
  4. Click the Public Radio Player icon from the iPhone or iPod Touch home screen and listen!

Troubleshooting:

Stations can be found by typing in their call letters or by an alphabetical state listing. If you have downloaded the app and GPB is not found under the listing for "Georgia," powering down and restarting your iPhone or iPod Touch may allow GPB to show in that list.
