
Food Safety – The peanut recall back in January was one of the largest food product recalls in US history. 9 people died, nearly 700 hundred became sick and about 3,500 different products were pulled from the shelves. The recall prompted legislation which, if signed by the Governor, would put Georgia well out in front on food safety. Terry Coleman, Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Agriculture joins us to talk about the new legislation and other agricultural topics.

The Real Truth About Aging – Millions of seniors in the U.S. are living well into their 80s and 90s and often have one or more ailments that make navigating their healthcare an arduous task. A new book, The Real Truth About Aging: A Survival Guide For Older Adults And Caregivers was created to help them. One of the authors, Dr. Neil Shulman, Associate Professor of Medicine at Emory joins us with the highlights.
