Grady Memorial Hospital – Grady is the only level-one trauma hospital in the northern part of the state and it has been hemorrhaging money for years. Budget woes came to a head about a year ago when Grady officials worried they could not make payroll, much less update aging equipment. Metro Atlanta business leaders stepped in, found funding, took over the board and hired a new CEO, Michael Young. After a few months on the job, he joins us with his plans to resuscitate this 950-bed facility that so critical to the region.
