Dr. Dan Rahn has been President of the Medical College of Georgia, one of the state's four research universities, since 2001. From cancer studies to patient care, MCG is in the forefront of medical research, receiving millions of dollars from the NIH and other sources. MCG also trains medical personnel with an eye to the state's particular needs, such as the shortage of physicians and dentists. Dr. Rahn joins us to discuss what's going on at MCG, his plans for the university's future, and Georgia's medical landscape.
