The Race for Governor: In the first of three in-depth interviews with the major candidates for Governor, we welcome Libertarian candidate, Garrett Michael Hayes. In the 2002 race for Governor, the Libertarian took 2.3% of the votes. This time he is campaigning on the issues of Immigration, Taxes, including The Fair Tax, Education, Drugs and a radical revision of the state's Laws and Regulations. Will these issues draw more voters to the Libertarians this time?

Hayes, who moved his family to Georgia in 1991, has made his career in the Information Technology field and currently runs a consulting firm. He joined the Libertarian Party in 1997 and has been active in the party's Cobb County organization, serving at various times as County Chairman, Vice Chairman and delegate to the Libertarian Party of Georgia annual convention.
