Carl Patton has been President of Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta since 1992. During his tenure GSU has grown from a largely commuter college to one that now serves over 40,000 students and is ranked amongst the largest urban research universities. An urban planner by expertise, Patton has been instrumental in the redevelopment of Atlanta's city center. He joins us to discuss this, GSU and many other topics. Next week on Georgia Weekly: Alexis Scott of the Atlanta Daily World, Charles Richardson of the Macon Telegraph and Tom Crawford of Capitolimpact.com will join us to discuss the hot topics of the week. |
