Public Health in Georgia – How serious is the threat of a bird flu pandemic and, if one happens, how prepared is Georgia? And how is the high school dropout rate linked to public health? The man in the hot seat when it comes to monitoring and managing public health in Georgia is State Health Director, Dr. Stuart Brown. He joins us to answer these questions and more.

The Future of Forestry – Trees have been an integral part of Georgia's history. From cypress in the swamp, to vast pine forests, that were tapped for turpentine and then lumbered, forestry has been an economic driver since the founding of the colony. However, a new, creative approach to forestry is on the rise, which could make Georgia a leader in alternative fuel. Ken Stewart, Director of the Georgia Forestry Commission joins us to explain.
