From the golden hills of Dahlonega to sparkling trout streams in Helen. Journey with us for an autumn adventure…
Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center
David kicks off the Fall Colors Tour at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center in Mansfield, Georgia. The 6,400-acre Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, offers a variety of outdoor activities and programs the entire family can enjoy. This beautiful area is located just a one hour drive from Atlanta, Macon and Athens.
This week’s outdoor activity is up to Phil Proctor who journeys to the Chattahoochee River, near Helen, for a little fly-fishing at Unicoi Outfitters… And yes…they found waders big enough to fit Phil.
Harvest Moon Café
David then journeys west across hills of changing foliage to Rome's own Harvest Moon Café. The Harvest Moon boasts a casual, fun atmosphere and has a timeless style and friendliness that appeals to customers of all ages.
Gold Rush Days Festival
Dahlonega was the site of the Nation’s first major gold rush, and the town really knows how to celebrate its rich history in the business of gold. Join us the third full weekend in October for GOLD RUSH DAYS!
