On recommendation from Keely, David seeks out another famous house on the island, Greyfield Inn. Operated as a resort since the 1960s, Greyfield offers visitors a spectacular stay in a fairy tale setting. Not to be missed are the wild horses that inhabit Cumberland Island. The first horses to set foot on Cumberland were brought by the Spanish in the 1500s, but were later removed. The current equine residents are descendents of horses that came with the Carnegies in the 19th Century. The folks at Greyfield hope that visitors leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and David certainly attests to that! www.greyfieldinn.com
